Zay Foggs "Lite Skinned Phenom"

Zay Foggs

Zay Foggs is a young r&b singer from Indianapolis, Indiana. In his two and a half years on the independent music scene he has appeared on albums by southern rappers Ole-E (ex-Field Mob producer) and Big Nod, and was featured on the former's single "I Bet She's Freaky" and the music video shot in Atlanta. Discovered at the Indiana Black Expo a couple of years back, Foggs has been busy both in the studio and on live shows. He has appeared at the Macy's Music Fest (a/k/a Jazz Fest) in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2012 on the show with Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, The O'Jays, Jaheim, Monica and Midnight Star. Veteran r&b legend Eddie Levert of The O'Jays was so moved by Foggs' soundcheck he told the upstart, "Young man I usually don't pay attention to other people's soundcheck, but your voice drew me into the stadium...". He has also appeared with Charlie Wilson, SOS Band and Tank. His first single "Slow Song" featured guest musical appearances by Bo Watson of MidnightStar on keyboards and the coda vocal obligato and ex-Isley Brothers guitarist Reggie Griffin. His second single the senuous ballad "I Don't Wanna Sleep" has been a ladies favorite. His new single is the uptempo "You're A Superstar" and features a hot rap from Skypp. and production from Uncle Jamz, D.Hittz, Chris Kelly & Billybad. As a bonus, veteran r&b and jazz keyboardist Rodney Stepp has created a 'live r&b' remix of "You're A Superstar" with organ, guitar and bass guitar.
